Happy Thanksgiving

From my front yard to yours.

A recent sunset.

I'm leaving for Fargo, ND soon to spend Thanksgiving with my daughter, Kathy, and her husband, Eric. Suzy is flying in from Chicago and my son and his wife are flying with me. Plus, my ex is going too. Kathy will have a full house. It should be a grand and happy time seeing all the kids together and I get to see Kathy pregnant, something I really wanted. I wasn't going to go but found a ticket half the price as it would be normally at this time. I just had to do it. I'm not saying exactly when I've leaving or coming back as I don't want to give out too much info. Also got someone to stay in my house to care for the dogs which is a huge load off of me.

Hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

About pam

I am retired from real 9 to 5 jobs. I do my artwork and occasionally write poetry. In September 2010, I moved to Fargo, ND after spending 60 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Now, five years later, July 2015, I'm back in Arizona. And yes, I love the heat!

    what is Thanksgiving?

  22. slackwrdave says:

Thanksgiving – linkThough surrounded by some degree of myth and selective memory, Thanksgiving is a widely enjoyed national holiday primarily in the USA and Canada. That it involves lots of family and food make it one of my favorites.

  23. slackwrdave says:

Food, friends, family, wine if you want it, television, riding around in the car. There's a lot to like. πŸ˜†

  25. ellinidata says:

thanksgiving is the day that,we express gratitude for all the things we are blessed to have, from good health to good friends to a nice car to a great dinner ,and usually it is a dinner that nobody counts calories! πŸ˜†

  47. Suntana says:

Whoa! Is that a PThanksgiving Pterodactyl there in Angeliki's comment? :eyes: That's a BIG one! With all the 90210 Gang together, it sounds like you all must have had a grand ole time. :chef: :hat: I on the other hand, was sick that day. I'm not sure if it was a Cold or Allergies, but nevertheless, I had a runny nose and a watery, very light-sensitive and red Left eye. It's been about a week since this had started, but I'm almost completely over it. No problem with my eyes now. Now it's just an ever so slight runny nose and intermittent slight sore throat and minor cough. I never felt horrible, just annoyed. So maybe it wasn't a Cold, unless it was a minor one. Certainly NOT the Flu.

  48. PainterWoman says:

That's a bummer you were sick Carlos. I hate being sick and haven't been for quite some time. Got the flu really bad twice. Once about five years ago and the last about a year and a half ago. Both times I was down for a good three weeks. I do remember one of the times, my ears being affected which made me so dizzy I had to literally crawl from the bed to the kitchen for a glass of water. Didn't have the strength to crawl back to bed, so ended up on the couch for a couple of days. Finally managed to eat some toast and start regaining my strength.

  49. Suntana says:

Alright! Another Flu remedy … Toast! :headbang: Just like that Whataburger Double Meat with Cheese that fixed me up as chronicled in that Post of mine. πŸ˜€ At first I thought I was gonna have to miss a party this past Saturday afternoon cuz I'd be sick. I was like, "Well, the upside is that I won't have to be engaged in another Handshake Fest." πŸ˜† As it turned out, it was a misunderstanding. I was NOT invited. :yikes:  πŸ˜₯ :faint: It was actually a Baby Shower … for women only. πŸ˜†
