I have a secret I’d like to tell

I will be a grandma next March 2010.

I've been relishing in this privately for the past 3 and a half months. My daughter in North Dakota sent me this photo a month or so ago. I am so happy for her and her husband. I can't think of better parents.

I told her I was going to post this but would crop her face. I tried to post the .tif ultrasound picture but was unable to do so. Saving it and resizing it in Corel will not change it from the .tif format.

Ok, here's the ultrasound. I hope the comments don't disappear.

About pam

I am retired from real 9 to 5 jobs. I do my artwork and occasionally write poetry. In September 2010, I moved to Fargo, ND after spending 60 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Now, five years later, July 2015, I'm back in Arizona. And yes, I love the heat!

I was very shy when I was 15. Wish I'd had a computer back then. It would have been fun. But as strict as my parents were, I probably wouldn't have been able to use it much.

I forgot about that. That's a cute one. I thought it was from the trip in May but it is not. It is from the year before.

Hmmmmm….I wonder if he was cute. Maybe it was a sub storyline where he was actually her live in boyfriend.

  9. Suntana says:

The Painter issue with Murphy Brown's Painter was that as far as I recall, he started painting the inside of her house when the series began. Episode after episode, season after season, the Painter was still at it. :insane: He just never seemed to finish the project. So, I guess it took him YEARS to paint her house. And that was just the inside. I don't think I recall him doing any painting on the outside. I can't recall whether aside of the painting, the dude also did any handyman work.

Claude, are you going :yikes: because I dated a nude model? Or the fact I'm going to be a grandma for the first time? He DID wear clothes when we went out. I am working up the nerve to do a post about him. He was rather weird which is why I didn't keep seeing him.

    I didn't think so. πŸ˜†

  14. PainterWoman says:

πŸ˜† If not the painter, then who did you think was cute on that show? I hope I'm not getting my shows mixed up but wasn't there a short actor in it that was noted for his obnoxiousness? Can't for the life me think of his name. The nude model I dated (very briefly) looked like him.

  15. Zulia says:

    ooo how weird he was?

He was very weird Zulia. I'll have to write about him in a 'word' document first plus I want to take photos of the paintings and drawings I did of him. I'll have to be careful of the art work I post. I won't show any frontal nudity so I'll have to crop the photo…..or I'll put a big white circle on it. πŸ˜†

Or you can put a super-sized version of the Insane Smiley we have here on the OC. πŸ˜† Hmmm? Or the LOL Smiley. It would be YOUR call, Pam. You'd know best which to use. :jester:

  19. FirestarXXX says:

my weather in alabama PERFECT lol

  20. PainterWoman says:

Carlos, there's an Insane smiley? I guess I've missed it. There should be a 'Narcsisstic' one for this guy. Although I don't know what that would look like. Firestar, the weather finally is really nice here too. In a couple more days, I might actually say it's fall.

  21. Suntana says:

This is the Insane Smiley, Pam: :insane: When you hover on it, it displays, "Paranoid."But, the Code for displaying it is –

  22. PainterWoman says:

I don't think I've ever used that one.

  23. Dacotah says:

Carlos, when I hover my cursor over it it doesn't display nothing. It use to but not anymore.

  24. Dacotah says:

Pam, great ultrasound photo. Yay, the comments didn't disappear.

  25. PainterWoman says:

Danny πŸ˜† Well, I DO have one bottle left of the 12 pac of Dos Equis I bought four months ago. I'm not much of a drinker. Just like to have one every once in a while on a hot summer day. Carol: Cool links. Now those images must be from a very progressive and high dollar machine. Didn't read any of the text, just looked at the images.

  26. daxonmacs says:

:lol:I can follow you there, Pam, a cool beer on a hot summer day …. mmmmmDuring winter, I tend to lean more on wine, though.

  27. daxonmacs says:

You're sure you haven't been relishing about a beer induced potbelly for months, are you? :whistle:Congrats!

  28. Dacotah says:

Yes they are Pam, I wish our town had the newest ultrasound machine.

  29. PainterWoman says:

Carol, the ultrasounds are so cool. The first ultrasound I ever saw was with my youngest, Suzy, and that was almost 27 yrs. ago. However, it was only on the screen at the docs office and they didn't give out prints then. At that time, I could see her moving around inside and saw her tiny hands.

  30. Suntana says:

Have you posted the problem on the appropriate Forum?

  31. Dacotah says:

The images are great with that kind of machine. Wish I had a 4d video of my baby when I was pregnant and the clear 3d image ultrasound photo. πŸ™‚

  32. Dacotah says:

    All of them.

  33. Suntana says:

Hmmm? Carol, are you talking about ONLY that ONE Smiley won't display the word of what it is? Or do none of your Smileys display anything? I don't know what would cause either of those scenarios.I'm assuming you've done the usual routine …Private Data Clearing & Profile Reset? And even an Opera uninstall and reinstall?

The second option. Must be great to become a grand-parent, but also a bit of a shock. Then again, maybe you're the cool-headed type.

  35. PainterWoman says:

Claude, thank you. It truly is great and I am loving it. I'm pretty cool headed. Sorry I didn't know at first what you were referring to. The comments can certainly go off topic sometimes.Leazz, thank you. I can't wait to be called "Grandmum". I like the sound of it.

  41. shushio says:

yaay … what a lovely piece of news Pam  Congrats to you all. I think you will be a real fine Grandmum πŸ˜€

  42. PainterWoman says:

Shu: Thank you. I DO love the sound of it.Carlos: I'll probably answer to whatever my grandchild calls me or is able to say. Boh Boh sounds kind of cute. Not sure about Bunka or Bunga though. I know I've never cared for NaNa or Granny but, I'm sure, coming from the mouth of my very own first grandchild, it will be a pleasure to my ears.

  43. Suntana says:

Grandmum? But, what if the kid decides to call you Grandmaw or something else?My older brother's granddaughter has apparently started calling him Boh Boh :eyes: I think she's gonna be 2 years old in November or December. My brother says that the weird thing is that she already used to call him something resembling "Grandpa." But, she likes to imitate things people do and say. Well, my brother's wife and daughter call him "Oso," which is Spanish for Bear. I guess his granddaughter is now TRYING to call him "Oso," but it's coming out "Boh Boh." :yikes: My brother says they'll be in public and she'll looking for him, calling out loudly, "Boh Boh … Boh Boh?" My brother will go, "Shhhhhhh! Don't call me that. People will think I'm a dummy." πŸ˜† I THINK "Boh Boh" or something close to that is supposed to be Spanish slang for like a dummy. :insane: So yeah, my brother is NOT too crazy about his granddaughter's nickname for him. :jester:Then there is my younger brother. His grandson can say, "Grandma" with seemingly no problem. You would THINK he could consequently say "Grandpa" with equal ease. But, Nooooooo! He calls my brother something like Bunka or Bunga! :lol:So, be ready for whatever nickname you get assigned, Pam. :nervous: :jester:

  44. PainterWoman says:

My daughter just called me this morning. She said she's having a girl.

  45. PainterWoman says:

Thanks Danny. Still….she said to hold off buying anything pink because sometimes babies surprise us.

My son calls my parents Nana and Papa. Those were the sweetest words. My mother is still Nana to her great-grandchildren. My sister and I have our grandchildren calling us Grandma and Gramma, reserving Nana for our mother. It's very special, almost sacred.Congrats on the little girl, Pam. That is so sweet.
