Music I Listen to While Painting No. 3 – Shahin & Sepehr

This is "Persia" from their "One Thousand & One Nights" album.

I have quite a few CDs of music by musicians from other countries and this is one of them. Much of the music I hear on Opera doesn't seem to be available in the states. I've been lucky to find the ones I have.

About pam

I am retired from real 9 to 5 jobs. I do my artwork and occasionally write poetry. In September 2010, I moved to Fargo, ND after spending 60 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Now, five years later, July 2015, I'm back in Arizona. And yes, I love the heat!

  13. PainterWoman says:

  14. PainterWoman says:

Aw, that's a bummer. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't listen to a few tunes just before I go to bed. Well, then, you'll just have to get 'One Thousand & One Nights' CD and listen. Or, if you ever hear it, I hope you like it.

  15. Suntana says:

As far as I know, I don't think it makes a difference. The video & audio content of the YouTube would still have to be loaded somehow.

  16. Suntana says:

Pam … Don't you feel it coming, day by day?People you let them go loose. Some are happy, some are sad.Okay Okay, so that's the Doobie Brothers. πŸ˜€ Anyway, I won't be able to check the YouTube. You know … the Dial Up thing.

  17. PainterWoman says:

Carlos, I didn't know. What if I put in the link? Does that make a difference? Some people do the 'embed' plus provide the link when they post a YT video.

I can just picture Xerxes tapping his foot to the beat of it…A great vid, Pam. Thanks for posting it. And of course I loved the way they combined the old and the new — archaeology and anthropology. You know, they still don't know whether Alexander purposely burned down Persepolis or whether it was a really wild party that got out of hand. If the later, I guess that would possibly make it the wildest party in recorded Western history.

  19. PainterWoman says:

Same here. I love the visuals in the video. I wish there was some way I could play many hours of videos of my favorite music in my studio. Yeah, that would have been some party.

  20. PainterWoman says:
