This is "Persia" from their "One Thousand & One Nights" album.
I have quite a few CDs of music by musicians from other countries and this is one of them. Much of the music I hear on Opera doesn't seem to be available in the states. I've been lucky to find the ones I have.

About pam
I am retired from real 9 to 5 jobs. I do my artwork and occasionally write poetry. In September 2010, I moved to Fargo, ND after spending 60 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Now, five years later, July 2015, I'm back in Arizona. And yes, I love the heat!
Reminds me of group Acoustic Alchemy
That name sounds familiar. I have to go listen to them on YT.
music from other coutries open new horizons π thanks for sharing Pam,I did hear it with headphones on but I am looking forward to blast it at home later and enjoy it again!
I`ve never heard it before but it sure sounds nice. Excellent for summer holidays by the beach, early in the morning :DOr is it just me? π
Andy: I listened to some Acoustic Alchemy and they do have a similar sound.Angeliki: I get my dishes done very fast when listening to music. π Darko: No, not just you. Being on the beach and listening to that music is a great idea. Allan: I think so too.
That actually sounds great!
You reminded me of a couple albums I had sent from a Finnish friend, cant understaand a word, but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTfkcTrcy60while none of the songs here are on my album its a good representation of the music.I feel so worldy
Clance thanks for the link. I love it and have never heard that language. Now I've got to go listen to a few others in the related videos.
:lol:I will start playing music to my dishwasher, the electric bill these days is killing me :pI hear you, music makes even washing dishes a pleasure….on a second thought, I will change "pleasure " to easier :p
  thanks Lady Pam π
Angeliki: π yeah, I think 'easier' goes better with washing dishes. I can think of lots of other things that are more pleasurable. π Leazz: You're welcome!:)
Nice music. I love it. π
Thanks Lan. I paint to this music and my housework gets done much faster too when I listen to it.
Aw, that's a bummer. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't listen to a few tunes just before I go to bed. Well, then, you'll just have to get 'One Thousand & One Nights' CD and listen. Or, if you ever hear it, I hope you like it.
As far as I know, I don't think it makes a difference. The video & audio content of the YouTube would still have to be loaded somehow.
Pam … Don't you feel it coming, day by day?People you let them go loose. Some are happy, some are sad.Okay Okay, so that's the Doobie Brothers. π Anyway, I won't be able to check the YouTube. You know … the Dial Up thing.
Carlos, I didn't know. What if I put in the link? Does that make a difference? Some people do the 'embed' plus provide the link when they post a YT video.
I can just picture Xerxes tapping his foot to the beat of it…A great vid, Pam. Thanks for posting it. And of course I loved the way they combined the old and the new — archaeology and anthropology. You know, they still don't know whether Alexander purposely burned down Persepolis or whether it was a really wild party that got out of hand. If the later, I guess that would possibly make it the wildest party in recorded Western history.
Same here. I love the visuals in the video. I wish there was some way I could play many hours of videos of my favorite music in my studio. Yeah, that would have been some party.

You know how wild those gay, Macedonian soldiers can get.Okay, you probably don't.:)
