Title: Motorcycle
Medium: Monoprint

About pam

I am retired from real 9 to 5 jobs. I do my artwork and occasionally write poetry. In September 2010, I moved to Fargo, ND after spending 60 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Now, five years later, July 2015, I'm back in Arizona. And yes, I love the heat!

    Thanks Cynthia.

  2. Cynthia23 says:

It's holding my attention for quite awhile now, Pam. I like it. : )

  3. DBabbit says:

Got my attention too.

  4. gdare says:

    Harley? :whistle::D

  5. edwardpiercy says:

Hope you can sell some. Yeah, maybe try the Harley stores. RE: uploading. They not only got it fixed but did ya notice the uploading goes MUCH faster now, yeah? I said as much and thanked them on the NEW OPERA BUGS forum. Which is the least I could do, considering that I had been bitching there for four solid days. πŸ˜†

  6. edwardpiercy says:

Those are the guys that mostly ride Harleys now. A sad thing. The reign of the Yuppie biker. I do know a few who aren't Yuppies. BTW, I saw Wild Hogs a short while back, the one about the average guy motorcycle gang. It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

  7. PainterWoman says:

Babs, thank you. Motorcycles always seem to get my attention too and I don't know why cuz I don't think I'd care for the lifestyle of riding one all the time. I have enough problems with my wimpy, wispy hair. Darko, a Harley? Hmmmm…I don't know…could be. I'd have to have a Harley rider look at it to answer that question. This came from an advertisement for jeans of all things. There was a very sexy young couple, both with tight jeans on, standing next to the motorcycle. I wasn't interested in the jeans so cut out the section of the cycle that I liked and used that as a reference. Ed, I'd thought of making the rounds at some of the Harley stores. Besides selling my art, maybe I'd meet someone too. πŸ˜€ Or I could have a show one weekend at Harold's in Cave Creek where all the Harley riders meet up. Might even meet a Harley ridin Doctor or Lawyer.:p

  8. PainterWoman says:

I saw that movie too Ed and thought the same. That was the one with Travolta in it wasn't it? And Linsey Lohan?

  9. ricewood says:

By the way, and off topic, I think that a lady on a motorbike is incredibly sexy.

  10. PainterWoman says:

Yes there is Allan. I am fascinated with the engines…and occasionally the rider too.:D

  11. ricewood says:

This looks absolutely great. There's something about those bike, now isn't there?

  12. edwardpiercy says:

Yeah, Travolta. I think Marissa Tomei is the lead female. She owns that diner in that small town they end up in.

  13. gdare says:

"This came from an advertisement for jeans of all things."Definitely Harley!!! πŸ˜€

  14. Cynthia23 says:

"Definitely a Harley!" :DOh! I know of this movie, but haven't seen it. I'm going to the shop now to rent it. Thanks for the tip.

  15. gdare says:

Could be. They are both selling certain life style :sherlock:

  16. PainterWoman says:

Allan, then I might just go get one. I think I'd get the three wheeler though. Can a 60 yr. old woman still be sexy on a trike? πŸ˜€ Darko, do you mean Levi Strauss and Harley Davidson have a deal?:p Cynthia, it's an enjoyable movie. I may rent it too. I saw it on a plane trip.

  17. wickedlizard says:

    Very nice!

  18. PainterWoman says:

    Thank you Issy.:)

Put all the photos in a file on your computer. Name the file and call it a .zip.Then Opera can take the whole statche at once. You can reorganise them in the album in opera.

  20. DBabbit says:

Click on all the photos you want to load, right click and send to zip file.

  21. DBabbit says:

We can load zip files for pics? Sweet! :hat: I didn't know that, which is why I quit, because I was tired of the 1-at-a-time thing! :hat: Carol, I'm saving my money for a trike. I have a difficult time getting on & off the bike.

  22. PainterWoman says:

Hi WL and Babs. I know nothing about zip files. I just load 3 or 4 at a time the old way when I'm adding to an album or making a new one.

  23. PainterWoman says:

Do you mean if you have, say 20 pics in a folder on your pc, right click on the folder? Will they stay in the folder but be copied to a zip? I went through so much when my computer crashed in May that I'm hesitant to do anything new. I'm still debating whether to download Opera or not. I like the way my blog looks now and have this vision of everything suddently being changed, or lost, or or….nevermind…I'm being paranoid now.

  24. PainterWoman says:

Ta Da! I did it! Thanks Babs. After opening the folder though, it didn't say, select all, so I held down the control key, clicked on each picture, then right clicked and sent to 'compressed (zipped) folder'. Then I created a new album in Opera by clicking on the zip. Gawd I feel so empowered:rolleyes: πŸ˜†

  25. DBabbit says:

πŸ˜† WoOt!! :hat: I'm going to go look! πŸ™‚

  26. DBabbit says:

Open the folder, select all, save to a zip and then load it.

  27. DBabbit says:

Well, if you send them to online, you'll still have a copy on your computer, but I'd say just really, really careful. πŸ˜€

  28. PainterWoman says:

I tested with some of the vintage postcards I'd scanned in. Since I have all of them, I'd be able to scan them again if I somehow sent the zip to outer cyberspace…:D I'm such a 'dweeb' as my kids would say. Or is it a dork.

  29. Weatherlawyer says:

You aught to send them to CD or DVD too if you have one.Open My Documents > My Pictures > My Dad's Pictures (or whatever) >> (Highlight folder and right click on it) > Send to > Compressed (zipped) Folder. That will send it to a new folder in the same directory called the My Dad's Pictures.zip.While you are there you can send the folder(s) to your desk top for easier handling. And from there you can drag it into the side bar besides the start menu -if that isn't locked.(If it won't go, ask and we will tell you how to unlock it. It's pretty straight forward but why bother you with more than you need to know just yet? It's just a short cut.)And finally you can send it to your CD or DVD:Highlight > Right click > Send to (in my case) DVD-RW Drive (G). You will probably need a copying utility for that if you are using XP. It probably came with drivers on the computer if you bought the computer set up with the drive.I got my drive separately and had to get a driver for it myself. There is all sorts on line if you join a forum or ask a blogger who is interested in that sort of thing he or she will put you right.

  30. DBabbit says:

With XP if you've got a read/write disk, all you "should" have to do is pop the CD in, and the program automatically starts. If it doesn't, just right click on the folder, and copy it to the disk, and make sure you can retrieve them from the disk if you don't want a headache later! I bought a "Verbatim" USB Flash Drive – It's tiny, but it holds 512 MB. Use a felt tip to label it. I think I paid $11 for it, but it's one of the smaller storage devices. EWorldSale.com has flash drives in quite a few sizes – up to 8 GB.
