How DO I do this?

How DO I do this?
I’d rather pay a fee
I’m so full of angst
I better have a cup of tea.

I don’t like voting
You’re all special to me
How do I do this?
OH Golly gee!

You are my friends
But I have the blues.
How do I do this?
MUST I choose?

I made my choice
After much anxiety
Alas, it was yesterday
Oh have mercy on me.

About pam

I am retired from real 9 to 5 jobs. I do my artwork and occasionally write poetry. In September 2010, I moved to Fargo, ND after spending 60 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Now, five years later, July 2015, I'm back in Arizona. And yes, I love the heat!

😆 I shoulda said 'also playing on the computer' too. I play Snood, Snood Slide, Spider Solataire or Free Cell. Trying to catch up on all my 'news items' on Opera as well. I am way behind.

😆 Thank you Tyler and Jose. You guys made me laugh right now. I just came from outside where I fixed my sprinkler. It is 105 degrees! It only took fifteen minutes to fix but I am drenched with sweat. Time to take a shower now.

  6. PainterWoman says:

Me? Popular? Well, I guess for the first time in my life at age 60, that's a good thing. It's just hard to keep up. How do people do it with more than one blog? :faint:

My sugar is back to normal and tomorrow is my last day in the bunker. I am being transfered.

  18. PainterWoman says:

Glad your sugar is back to normal and that you're getting transferred. It must be a relief on both.

The hard thing about decisions is living with the consequences. I had to make a choice to stay with a job and be miserable or leave and find something better. Seven monthes later I found a much better job for me but suffered through some very lean times. I loved your poem. Are you sure that you're sixty?

  20. PainterWoman says:

Thank you Joe….or do you prefer Joseph? Glad you liked my poem. And yes, I'm 60…as of June 25th.

  21. Captivevet says:

Today is my last day at the bunker. I have been transfered. I'm going on a road trip to celebrate.:coffee:

  22. PainterWoman says:

Have a good trip and be safe. Do you have a plan where you're going to go?

  23. BabyJay99 says:

Have a good weekend Lady Pam 🙂 🙂

  24. zetorres says:

Pamela, I and Angeliki we won the contest! Yupiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie! :hat::hat: Thank you also for your kind support! :):)

  25. shoppingpenguin says:

Ah so you are a poet too! I never knew! Oops! Rhyme totally NOT intended! =o After reading so many of Loku's I feel like I should be writing some too. …But, I'll spare you the dreadful results! ^v^

  26. PainterWoman says:

😀 Tori, thank you. But maybe you are a poet and don't know it. I'm really more of a painter and only write occasionally.

  27. I_ArtMan says:

poetry is a strange and elevating experience. your poem pam, has a lightness i liked. it's almost like relaxing and accepting hard decisions without making a big deal out of them. How DO I do this?I’d rather pay a feeI’m so full of angstI better have a cup of tea.just be free and decide… so cool. 🙂

  28. I_ArtMan says:

i wish i could do that myself… for whatever reason, i have no sense of humor about myself. 🙂

  29. PainterWoman says:

🙂 Thanks Scott. I wrote this after I voted to make light of the whole thing. I was sort of poking fun at myself.

  30. I_ArtMan says:

why don't they have a 'smilie' for blushing? anyway, thanks, lady.

  31. PainterWoman says:

Well, I think you do and even if you don't think so, you have so much wisdom coming out of your mouth and from your paint brush, it makes up for it.

  32. I_ArtMan says:

yes, we are under-represented aren't we. :lol:we just have to rely on words.

  33. PainterWoman says:

A blushing smiley would be cute. They need one with a paint brush too.:D

  34. mynoel says:

i love reading beautiful poem!!! nice one!

  35. Captivevet says:

Have a good day then. It has stopped raining here, so I may venture out now.

  36. PainterWoman says:

Thank you Noel. This poem was written when there was an Opera contest for 'best summer story'. If you go to 'home page' you will see the post with all the stories and still read them. They are all fun, good and interesting. Many people were in it and some I knew so it was very hard for me to choose. I fretted over it too much and finally got mad at myself and wrote the poem.

  37. Captivevet says:

    :coffee:

  38. PainterWoman says:

Good morning Tyler. :coffee: I'm off to clean the pool again. It was windy yesterday right after I cleaned it so now it's a mess again. Oh well…more money for me every time I clean it.
